Blackened Beef Brisket
Ingredients:
3 lb well trimmed beef brisket - (to 4) 1 tbsp cajun seasoning 1 = (or hot/spicy seasoned salt) 2 tbsp water 1/2 tsp hot sauce
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Rub surface of brisket with seasoning. Brown in hot cast-iron skillet with vegetable oil spray. Place brisket on rectangle of heavy aluminum foil.
Combine water and hot sauce and spoon over brisket. Seal foil and place in baking pan. Bake about 30 to 45 minutes per pound at 325 degrees or until meat is tender.
Remove from oven and let stand 15 to 30 minutes for ease in slicing.
