Individual Cranberry-Orange Des Recipe
Ingredients:
3 egg whites 1 egg yolk 1/2 cup skim milk 2 tsp grated orange peel 1/4 cup orange juice 1 cup sugar 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup cranberry halves
Instructions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites in large bowl on high speed until stiff peaks form. Beat egg yolk slightly in medium bowl on medium speed. Beat in milk, orange peel and orange juice. Beat in sugar, flour and salt until smooth. Stir in cranberry halves. Fold egg yolk mixture into egg whites. Divide among 4 ungreased 10-ounce ramekins or custard cups. Place ramekins in rectangular pan, 13 X 9 X 2 inches, on oven rack. Pour very hot water (1 inch deep) into pan. Bake about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or cold. Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar if desired. 4 SERVINGS.
