Swiss Steak Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb round steak, cut in 4 pieces all v, isible fat removed 4 celery ribs, cut in 4 pieces each 2 large onions, cut in 8 wedges each 14 oz canned tomatoes 1/4 tsp liquid sweetener 1 tbsp worchestershire sauce 1/4 tsp pepper 4 tsp all-purpose flour 3 tbsp water
Instructions:
Brown steak under broiler. Place in 2 quart casserole.
Add celery and onion.
Put tomatoes, liquid sweetener, Worchestershire sauce and pepper into medium saucepan. Heat until it boils.
Mix flour with water in cup until smooth. Stir into boiling tomatoes until it returns to a boil and thickens. Pour over casserole. Cover. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 2 hours until meat is fork tender.
Nutrition: 1 serving: 201 calories, 49 mg cholesterol, 311 mg sodium, 3 g fat.
