Stuffed Mexican Pie




Ingredients:

2 lb ground meat, cooked, drained
1 = (use ground sirloin, lean ground
1 or ground white meat turkey, or a
1 combination of any two)
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
2 tsp chili powder
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 can tomato sauce - (8 oz)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup sour cream, plus
1 tbsp sour cream
1 egg white, beaten stiff

Instructions:

Place meat, onion, pepper, sauce, garlic and chili powder in skillet.
Simmer 8 to 10 minutes.

Spray 8- by 8-inch pan with Pam (or grease). Put meat mixture in pan.

Beat together cheese, sour cream and egg white and put on top of meat
mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

This recipe yields 6 servings; 5 carb grams per serving.
