Very "Unfrench" French Toast
Ingredients:
6 slice non-fat sourdough bread 1 cup egg beaters 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp vanilla 1 pt fresh strawberries 1/2 cup unsweetened natural apple juice 1 pam spray
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients - except bread and Pam in a shallow bowl. Dip each bread slice in Egg Beaters until coated evenly. Set aside. Spray pan with Pam and heat on medium heat. Place 2 slices of bread in pan at a time and cook until lightly browned. Meanwhile, wash and hull strawberries. Blend berries with apple juice until pureed. Pour over toast and serve immediately. NUTRITION per serving: Calories 82, Protein 5 g, Carbohydrate 17 g, Cholesterol 0 mg, Sodium 163 mg, Dietary Fiber 3.7 g. EXCHANGES per serving: 1/2 bread and 1/2 fruit.
