Chicken Wings, Spicy Maple - Atkins Recipe










Ingredients:

2 lb chicken wings
1/2 cup tomato puree, (such as pomi)
1/4 cup atkins sugar free pancake syrup
1 tbsp oven fried chicken seasoning
2 clove garlic, pushed through a press
1/4 tsp hot sauce (.25-.5), (or to taste)
1 tsp salt

Instructions:

These wings are make a great snack or casual first course. You may prepare
them ahead of time through step 2, and give them a final crisping under the
broiler (or in a fry pan) just before serving.

1. Snip off and discard chicken wing tips; separate wings at joint. In a
large saucepot, bring tomato puree, syrup, chicken seasoning, garlic, hot
sauce and salt to a boil.

2. Add wings to pot, cover and simmer 5 minutes. Uncover and cook 20
minutes more until wings are cooked through and liquid reduces enough to
form a glaze.

3. Heat broiler; arrange wings on broiler pan. Broil 2-3 minutes, until
crisp.
