Sandwich, Tuna & Watercress W.Wasabi Mayonnaise - Atkins Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tsp sesame oil 1 tsp canola oil 1 steak (8 oz) tuna 1 tbsp mayonnaise 1 tsp wasabi powder, or white horseradish 1/2 tsp soy sauce 4 slice atkins bread, lightly toasted 1/2 cup watercress, rinsed, dried, stems remo 1/4 red onion, very thinly sliced
Instructions:
Definitely not your everyday tuna sandwich. Wasabi is Japanese horseradish, and is sold in small cans in the Asian food section of many supermarkets.
1. Heat sesame and canola oils in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear tuna 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a cutting board and slice thinly on the diagonal.
2. Mix mayonnaise, wasabi powder and soy sauce. Spread on bread slices. Layer watercress, red onion, and tuna slices on two slices of bread. Top with remaining bread slices.
