Chewy Spice Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup packed brown sugar 3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce 1/4 cup molasses 1 egg substitute 1 to equal 1 egg 2 1/4 cup flour 2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp ground ginger 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp ground cloves sugar
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, applesauce, molasses and egg substitute until well blended. Combine flour, baking soda, and spices; stir into molasses mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto baking sheets that have been lightly coated with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Yields: 3 1/2 dozen
One cookie equals 56 calories, 12 mg sodium, trace cholesterol, 12 gm carbohydrate, 1 gm protein, trace fat.
