Orange & Pear Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
4 navel oranges, peeled, cored 1 and diced 2 ripe pears, cored anddiced 12 cup minced green onion 14 cup julienned fresh basil 1/2 julienned fresh mint 1 bunch fresh watercress, arugula or 1 spinach leaves 1 sweet sesame orange dressing 1 (recipe follows)
Instructions:
Toss salad ingredients with dressing. Makes 6 side-dish servings.
STREET SESAME ORANGE DRESSING: Whisk together sesame oil, 2 tablespoons minced shallot, 1 teaspoon minced garlic, 2 tablespoons orange marmalade, 1 tablespoon cider vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Whisk in 2 tablespoons hot water and set aside to combine flavors. Makes 1/2 cup.
